Just watched. Great video and excellent work on the demo conversion. I'd love to see this Ryu intro video displayed on an Amiga:

Am I missing something? This is a PC animation not very realistic?
Check out master464 demos [ Show youtube player ] The problem using all these huge Blitter objects with some good/perfect SF2 AI your just going to end up with another dud port. Ok looks like some good people are involved so prove me wrong but seen it all before....... Last edited by Retro1234; 30 January 2021 at 10:00. |

Excellent.
The video is very well made. In fact, the presented solution is the same than the one used in Shadow fighter (made for OCS even if an AGA version has then been published) : dual playfield, copper tricks (modified colors, scrolls on the ground...), first screen for the characters etc. So of course an excellent version of street fighter 2, near from original, can be done. It needs only an excellent coder and an excellent graphist :-) |

I'd suggest changing the topic to:

Hello I'm from the demogroup Titan and coder of this prototype. Before we continue we need some game logic code and could need some reverser who wants to help to reverse the original Arcade ROM. Of course it's possible we work for nothing because we are most likely not allowed to do this publically. But until now it was a very interesting work to create that with Pixel Shade and we want to do more.
PM me if you're interested in reversing it in order to reuse the game logic. Maybe its also possible, for a start, to find a way to "remote control" the original Arcade ROM in order to let it calculate the necessary positions and game states. Really have no idea, its long time ago I reversed something. There's some guy called sf2platinum who has a blog and started reversing it but we were not able to get in closer contact yet. |

I think it is important to mention that there is a prototype - most of what you see in the video runs already in an existing engine working on an unexpanded A1200 =)
But as I said we don't know how we can continue without the game logic as it would be way too much work to reconstruct all movements, collisions and logic manually =/ |
