Looking for A600 RAM Expansion
If you've got one...how much would you want for it?

my friend, I know of only 4 types of ram expansion on the A600
PCMCIA 2MB or 4MB, both overly expensive the last 4MB card i saw on fleabay fetched £50 there is the Apollo 020 and 030, these are expensive and have been reported to *over heat* a bit... there is the Viper030 well heres a linkie my friend, http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showcat.cgi?CATID=3 thats your lot i am afraid... at the moment, Jens is building an 030 project for the a600 but thats on hold atm from what i can gather... I am attempting to build a fast ram / CPU upgrade for the A600... but time... time indeed is a commodity that is more rare than a REAL rare on ebay.... |

I got a 1MB CBM one from someone once & that's in my 600T.
That's what I'm after, not a CPU accelerator, just an extra MB of memory. Sorry about the confusion man PZ. |

Cool man, there are a few on eBay, but none that I don't think will shoot through the roof before auction ends

Just dont buy a MARPET one (the one with SIMMS). They are too heavy they put a strain on the connector and you move the A600 and they come loose (and you get the yellow screen!)

This machine is in an old-style PC desktop box so everything can be fastened securely to avoid such problems. If you or anyone else have such a device, I'll be happy to buy it if the price is right PZ. *EDIT* - After checking, the one I have in another machine is the A601 unit...and that's all I need for this one...just so I can load games from HDD...or newly installed Zip drive...need just that little more than standard RAM to do it |

@Fingerz
sorry dude, i got confused, i thought you only meant FAST ram add ons... i didn't realize you needed a chip ram upgrade too... theres plenty of 1MB Chip expansion on fleabay for arround £8 - £20 depending on how new... would one of these be of interest? |
