Noob question. .ROM file?
Hi. I am a complete noob. So i may sound useless!
i'm following the TweakGudies.com guide on how to setup WinEAU. And i'm stuck at the very beginning. Good start! It told me to purchase a package from Amiga Forever. I did so. I purchased the Value edition, which supposedly has the KickStart.ROM image. Where is this? I opened up WinEAU and went to the 'Paths' section and it told me to place the .ROM image in a folder, along with my .ADF game files and change the directory to that folder on the .ROM destination path. The problem i am only able to find 3 .ROM files with this Amiga forever package: amiga-os-120.ROM amiga-os-130.ROM amiga-os-310-a1200.ROM Are these it? I place these files in the folder and it says it's unavailble or something. Any help guys? |

Yes, these rom files are enough to play all Amiga games. Version 1.2 - only few older games, 1.3 - most Amiga 500 games, 3.1 for Amiga 1200 games.

I place these files in a new folder and change the path, but then i get an error message giving me a list of some roms are unavailable. like A500, A500+ and A600 etc.?

Why don't you use the Amiga Forever player? IIRC you can 'scan' a directory for games and they will show up in the player.

What file/files do i need from the Amiga game? Is it just the .adf file? I downloaded a bills tomato game.adf file and opened it in the AmigaForever player and a blue screen loaded up where i could enter some cheats or something. But i couldn't go any further! Hmmmm
