Amiga 3000 will not see HDD

one of my A3000`s will not see ANY hard drive.

I have tried 2x spinners, 1x SCSI2SD and 2 different Scsi cables - all of which work in another A3K.

I assumed the issue to be the Scsi WD chip and/or the Super DMAC.
Both swapped with the other A3K - both work in that miggy, whereas the `working` chips, dont help the problem.

So its not the HDD, cables, Scsi WD IC, Super SDMAC - or PSU (same one used on both Amigas.

A friend suggested that, as its missing the termination resistors, it may need them...but the one that works - does not have them either, so I`m not sure.

Any ideas?

Did it ever work? If not could it be battery damage? I think the battery is no-where near the SCSI.

How about batmem settings? I think there are some SCSI settings there... mainly how long to wait after power on before checking the disk.

Have you changed the SCSI number of the drive?

NVRAM settings return to default after battery change/fail. Battmem is not needed unless you need to delay drive access or other tuning options.

Termination on mobo and drive - or - drive and external port is generally required.

I think this one used to work - all the faults my A3K`s, I dont remember this one at all.

Scsi numbers...None have been changed, as they are all as is from the VR machines that the Amigas came from. - None of the other Amigas have this issue. (well the working ones)

This is not a SW/WB issue at all.
If I plug in a HDD and boot, it sits on kickstart screen, waiting for a floppy to be inserted.
If I load WB from floppy - still not HDD can be seen.

I dont think its termination.
The Spinners and SCSI2SD all work fine without changing anything in another A3k.
Neither A3k have the termination resistors
