Hired Guns: The Boardgame?!?

Hi all,

I made a couple of boardgame figures for a Hired Guns boardgame myself using the game sprites. Check out more pics here:

Well, I haven't really worked on those yet

I had some ideas though. It would be a mixture of classic sci-fi dungeon crawls like Doom: TBG and puzzle elements like moving blocks around etc. Of course, solving puzzles is a lot easer when you can just think as long as you want during your turn, instead of having monsters closing in in realt time

Interesting.

So I suppose you managed to extract the monster graphics? Or have you gone the "screenshot + cleaning through an image editor" way?

What about calling it Chess?

Well, there are some fantasy chess variants that can be close to Archon: http://www.chessvariants.org/Gindex.html

For example:

Yes, I ripped all graphics from a savestate using a memory ripper. It was quite the experience, so to speak, but I eventually got the hang of it
