Hi

Nothing major but is it possible to get the original color palette for this version? Somehow the purple blue colors make the game less impressive for me.

I had forgotten I posted this thread, but is there still a chance we could obtain the original color palette of Stunt car racer in TNT version ?

CodeTapper's agreed to look at a fix to obtain default pallete for TNT.

These are unofficial tracks?... It would be cool if more tracks surfaced using the Delphi track creator mentioned in HOL.

I suppose it was done that colour to differentiate from the old and new version, but your right, its a horrible colour lol.

Correct.. The purple color is the only reason why I've stayed away from TNT all this time.. im sure I'll play it more with default color..

Reminds me when in an old videorecording the color channels got shifted and the blue get the red values...

Yeah, I'm the same. I know it shouldn't matter that much, but it just don't look right, lol.

As far as I remember, the code is pretty much straight on the disk. So you would need to look for a move.w to $dff18X or $18X(AY) and change that accordingly. Should be doable with todays tools.

Maybe a partial raw disk data restoration is enough.

OK. I had a quick look. Colors are set via a copper list. Directly on the disk, I only found two copper list with different colors. Color #1 within game is $595, but that 16 bit number only appears a couple of times and nowhere around the other colors.

Got it. In version 1.0b the bytes 0x246 to 0x26f of (sha256sum)

have to be filled with 0x4e71 (NOP). Then the original colors will be restored. I've attached a bsdiff file to be used with bspatch to somewhat automate the process.

By pressing the button in the top/right corner of the forum near the "Log Out" button.

I would have done it already but i cannot inject the file back to adf disk (in linux). There are no tools like dirmaster for adf. Too much hassle to use workbench...
