Nebulus - I'm stuck!
@ptrchiappe:
> I finished all the towers both on the Spectrum version and on the Amiga. I completed Nebulus C64, even without trainer. Ah... I wish we'd still be in the late eighties (at least computer-wise > Where exactly are you having difficulties ? Mission 2, Tower 6 ("A Riddle of Reason"). There are two levels near the water surface. You have to do the usual "run around the tower two shoot blocks wich block elevators" stuff. Once you made the second elevator accessible, you're transfered to the third level: It's just a stair which ends nowhere, but you can jump down to a third elevator that wasn't accessible before. The problem is: This elevator is blocked by a block very high in the air, and I've got no clue how to destroy that block Any help would be appreciated. The Cheat is "helloiamjmp" (at the main screen) then press F8 fo mission 2, start the game, then F6 for the sixth tower. |

Here we go :
In the attached picture i've given brief instructions as to how pass those elevators. The solution is the same both at the start of the level an in the middle, that is : you first use the little blocks to get to the passage, then you go around the tower, shoot the higher block, go down again, shoot the other block and use the elevator. After the third level elevator, you just need the right timing and you'll get to the top of the tower. Good luck, timing is not so tight as it seems at first once you know what to do. P.S. sorry for the one day delay in the answer but i could not try it at work yesterday |

Thanks for the Nebulus tip, pete. I might try that meself...
Speaking of Nebulus though, can anyone offer a full walkthrough to the second level of Nebulus 2? Eventually I come at a point where I cannot go down any further. I think I have to do something with those grey platforms that have the arrows... are they teleport pads or something? |

Even with pictures, *wow* )) And the solution was so easy :-/ > Good luck, timing is not so tight as it seems at first once you know what to do. I'll try it know. Doesn't look that hard @Marz: Which version of Nebulus 2 are you using ? The one from Spokyz site ? If so, what's your setup ? This version doesn't work correctly over here... |

I can't get through level 2 of Neb2 either. I used the disk version I found on Pyrodex's site (I think). There are teleports, but even with teleports I still can't seem to find a way below. It seems impossible to get all the way down. I was having such a hard time getting down there too. Either a hard puzzle or a bug I'd say. I sure hope it's just a hard puzzle.

Well, i never played Nebulus 2 before so i decided to start it to see if i could help you at this one too.
About level 2, first of all you have to step on all the platforms that have a strange green lime (and you will see the number in the upper right increase up to 100%), then you can to use teleports (those pads with arrows) by activating the special rightmost weapon when you are on the pad and then pressing up. I cannot be more specific now, but if you need more explanations tell me where exactly you stop and i'll try to help. @Drake: it's not impossible to get all the way down (i did it), but you have to clear all the platforms first otherwise the exit won't open. |

How do you get down then? It looked like a solid floor to me. Do those disappear when you touch the green platforms?

The floor doesnt' disappear when you step on it, it just changes back to normal (when i can get some spare time i'll add a picture of it), but there are some switches that make one platform disappear. Again try to explain where you stopped and i'll try to help you . |

Well, having finished yesterday the 2nd level i can give you some good news: you only need 80% to exit the level .
Maybe i found the place where you're having problems, around the mid of the tower there is a platform that goes all around (complete circle). There is a point where you have a teleport that brings you up a level and next to it another teleport that brings you under the platform. Very roughly drawn it looks like this (where P is a solid Platform and T is a Teleport) ____________________TPT PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPTPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP ____________________TPPP So what you have to do is : use the teleport to go up, go left and use the other teleport to go under the complete circle. I would include a pic if only i had the time to make Nebulus2 work under emulation, until then please accept my bad drawing |
