AmigaKit.com Back Online!
Six days ago our server, and many others, were taken offline due to a data centre infrastructure problem. We are pleased to report that the AmigaKit.com website is back online taking orders! We would like to apologise for the unexpected event and any inconvenience caused. We would like to thank many of you for the kind words in messages over this time and your patience during this period. |

Hello:
I have a couple of orders "pending" What I'm more concerned about now is about your "Support&Help" email as you haven't answered for 4-5 months now. About 5 emails I've sent without any answer. As I've told you: Please respond. |

Hi
Sorry to hear that and many thanks for your orders. It is good to be back online after a server fire in the datacentre a month ago. We are not in office during weekend but please send an email to Support@amigakit.com - this is the correct email for after sales inquiries. Thank you! |

BTW... I've been gifted with an Amiga 500. I never had seen any . It's beautiful. It comes with a green screen... But I've got the Ram chips coming.

Congratulations! Green screens are something that I haven't seen since the 1990s! Send us the pictures of the machine. |

Come on... I've already tried every single chip; changing every chip with a working
A500's one from a friend of mine. I've got a Green Screen, I've changed all of the chips (but the Agnus) from the working A500 and it doesn't work. It has to be the Ram chips and I'll have them here very soon. I have to say that I believe that I've done a marvellous work desoldering things and so. As you want to see my process, this is it: Yep: I desoldered All of the chips from the Ram and I actually have them all in sockets, just expecting to receive the working ones. This is it by now As I was bored, I later changed All of the caps, but the Green screen keeps being the same. Last edited by Retrofan; 05 May 2024 at 02:26. |

The green (bootup) screen on the Amiga 500 is not something you want a picture of

In this time I've made an Os for it. It's CWB68K plus BetterWB plus some programs as I'm planning to include a Hard Drive. It takes some seconds to boot in this config (it would take less without the dock), but I like it. TinyLauncher works perfect. This is with OCS on WinUAE. If the rest of the launchers don't work so well I'll get rid of them. BTW: I have NO ANSWER from the AmigaKit Support email yet. Last edited by Retrofan; 07 May 2024 at 02:37. |

Well, not completely but I had a response about telling me this weekend. I don't have much hurry, I just want to know about an order that wasn't expected to be ready but in some time. It's a complete and expensive A1200 board they offered for sale after checking or fixing them.
About my A500, today I've changed all of the chip rams and it keeps with the green screen. I've ordered the FAT Agnus. She has to be the culprit About doggy connections... I was awaiting to have an extractor to take off that fatty Agnus, but as I've got the board completely dismounted, I've seen that it has two holes on the back of the mobo, so I've just pushed it gently from each hole and I've taked it off. After cleaning all of the pins both in the chip and also in the socket, it keeps being just the same with the green screen. Last edited by Retrofan; 10 May 2024 at 23:23. |

BTW... Very offtopic, but well... Will whatever Agnus work here or must it be the same numbers/revision for every A500?. I say that because prices change from 25 to 75€ or more ...

I've never had an order take more than a few days. Sometimes next day. Ok so I'm in UK but what on earth are you people ordering? Out of Stock or unreleased items with long lead times?

I used an email listed on their website to inquire about my order and after about a week received a response that I should not use that email as they don’t monitor it.
