before to vote, there's a couple of them i want to try! i believe i tried pc engine version via emulation or was it Sega? and it was cool but with fastidious glitches... i'll try C64 version later

[EDIT] c64 version is great! too hard though :/ the music is very good too. now i have to try the other versions, but i think i'll vote amiga, nevertheless...

The Sega Mega Drive & PC Engine games are glitch-free in emulation, but the FM-Towns game has some graphic bugs in Unz.

So the FM-Towns version should be added to the poll.

The FM-Towns Marty is a 1:1 port of the TurboGraFX (PC-engine) version in terms of gfx and music isnt it?

Nope, the FM-Towns version has better grahics. Looks even better than the Amiga game, imho.

This is the REAL aattitude. An educated opinion it will be, Marco

I forgot about FM-Towns buit it seems I am not allowed to edit my own poll? Awesome.
Can some mod edit it or something? (this will take ages, oh god)

Shadow of the Beast was available for a load of platforms, I surely am forgetting some. Feel free to add names here. But the results will be pretty obvious, proving my point.

I think it must be the other way around, the [ Show youtube player ] (dated 92) is a port of the [ Show youtube player ] (dated 91)

They use the same CD Audio.
They use the same improved gfx (for the most part, although perhaps colour reduced in some places in the TurbograFX version, and some, like the clouds, are swapped back to the traditional Amiga versions).

The TurboGraFX version looks more like it was forced.

Even though I've not played it in the flesh, I want to switch my vote to FM-Towns Marty

Just out of curiosity I thought that I'd look at getting the better FM-Towns console + Shadow of the Beast game.

I found one of each for sale on the net and I almost had a heart attack when I saw the prices

How much was it? I know they are rare and have high prices, but how high are they exactly?

mate the contest was a cool idea in the first place, since i had missed some gems there!

my vote goes for the japanese version of the megadrive: the music is slower than the usa version and more enjoyable, the graphics very neat, with great colours!
(can a G.mod put both usa and Jap versions in the poll?)

the Linx version is cool too, mainly because of the graphic and the different levels.

PcEngine is nothing special imho, and the FMtowns one leaves me cold, while its version was great for the second game of the serie.

Really? The Beast animation is ridicilous and the music is VERY awful. Haven't played it long enough, is the difficulty level so unbalanced like in the Amiga version?

Yupp, pretty much the same (this is for the US version, but I think it's the same for the japanese one)

Btw : Do you know the current price for a FM-Towns system?
