Xbox Amiga Emulator - Any good?

Can anyone tell me if the Xbox Amiga emulator is actually any good?

I did have an emulator disk kindly sent to me by Synchro I believe early last year, from what I tried of it, it looked very, very good. But unfortunately thats when things went belly up with my ex and the separation ensued. I got out of the house quickly and I either misplaced the disk in the move or it was destroyed along with a few other possessions of mine!

But is the Xbox emu up to scratch?

What are its limitations if any?

No real limitations....i have found it does just about everything the Pc version does....but like Winuae you have to set it up for certain machines....you can select default a1200....or default a500.... then load a floppy in DF0 so sometimes its easier in that respect.

Thanks Synchro, will have to give it another whirl. Don't get much time at the PC these days. Mores the pity. But I do have the xbox on pretty much all of the time. What is the current version of the emu? I think mine surely has to be an old edition, especially with me getting it sometime early last year.

Can you now use the thumb pads and not just the Dpad? I hate using the dpad. My giant sized thumbs always end up blisters when using dpad.

Hi do any of you guys have the Amiga emulator for the xbox on disk if so could you possibly do me a copy as im on the xbox a lot more than the pc nowadays i would be grateful and am willing to pay towards it if it would help

Should point out that this is for XBOX 1. Also the xbox must be modded either with a softmod or a modchip.

I have no doubt that it's great, but an update within a year isn't too much to ask for right?

WinUAEX v17 is fully open source. Feel free to download and post updates.

The author, X-port, retired in 2007.

WinUAEX v17 is based on a VERY old version of WinUAE but moving to the latest core (just introducing the latest files) is not possible without work. I know, I tried.

Back-porting fixes to WinUAEX from the latest core is extremely difficult as too many things have changed. You need to start at the version WinUAEX was based on and move forward.

Also the newer versions of WinUAE require more CPU power than earlier versions and v17 is only borderline full speed as it is.
