What is the "Optional Flash Memory" on the A1200 Schematic
I was just nosing at the A1200 schematics and notice it shows a 16 bit (single chip) kickstart "option". On the same page it also shows a 2X 2Mbit flash option which doesn't appear to be a kickstart replacement - just wondered if anyone knows what that was?
page 10 here:http://www.amigawiki.org/dnl/schematics/A1200_R1.pdf I did a quick google but could not find any mentions of it. |

Actually it does appear to be an alternative to the EPROMs used for kickstart, effectively the are intel x86 bios flash chips. Interesting (but useless)
