What is the "Optional Flash Memory" on the A1200 Schematic

I was just nosing at the A1200 schematics and notice it shows a 16 bit (single chip) kickstart "option". On the same page it also shows a 2X 2Mbit flash option which doesn't appear to be a kickstart replacement - just wondered if anyone knows what that was?

page 10 here:http://www.amigawiki.org/dnl/schematics/A1200_R1.pdf

I did a quick google but could not find any mentions of it.

Actually it does appear to be an alternative to the EPROMs used for kickstart, effectively the are intel x86 bios flash chips. Interesting (but useless)
