26 Amiga 1200 Workbench background Images

Hi all!

I have put together a collection of 26 background images for use in Workbench.
All 8 colour.

They took a while to produce but was a lot of fun.

You can get them here:

Great work, were they made on an Amiga by any chance? Think I'd use the Tank mouse one if I ever get a proper top-end Amiga setup, although hopefully I wouldn't be using an actual tank mouse in the process, I have no fond sentiment for them (did anyone really complete Cannon Fodder using one?)

I used my Canon camera to take the various photos, then I used Photoshop to adjust levels...then cropped to the correct aspect ratio using the marquee tool...then I resized down to 640 x 256.
I then used Retro Image Tool (onling website for colour reduction) to reduce colours down to 8, using a palette then I designated as a global palette so every image I converted used the same palette

Nice work, in particular I liked the keyboard and disk pictures.

Hopefully you can add more over time. Cheers!

Thank you!! I shall be taking photos of my A600, A500 and CD32 also.
More games, etc too.

I'll put together a one-stop shop for Amiga backgrounds one day
