MagicWB or New Icons ?

I use Workbench 3.1 with ECS... What WB icons enhancement is better ? MagicWB or New Icons? Or maybe any of them ?
Anyway, I'm looking for MagicWB 2.1 registered version

I'll have to go with Akira on this one. New icons uses up a lot of memory, and slows down operations a lot. And magic icons just don't look good IMO

So, do you use standard Workbench 3.1 ? IMHO standard icons dont look any better than MagicWB or NewIcons... :laugh
Btw, my Ami has 68040@40 and still ECS, so... at least it's accelerated...

Since it is accelerated... up the color count to 16 colors, and make yoru own icons or modify the existing ones with more colors. I did this with my A600 and the original 3.1 icons with more colors look quite good

It takes time but it beats magicWB IMO

Btw, when I open Workbench3.1 in 16 colour screen, then MagicWB icons appear in strange colours... How to fix it?

There should be a palette supplied with the MagicWB distribution, just go into 'Prefs/Palette' and load the palette in.

IIRC this worked fine for me.

There shoud be an icon that says something like "Click me for colours", run that.

How about Fresh Icons (off aminet) that use a 16 colour display and are freeware. Included is a program to hack the right colours on boot.

I think they look cool, especially on my multisync monitor in Productivity mode (shown below).

I refuse to use Newicons, don't like them.

Nice aren’t they And all that from a 16 colour screenmode with copper background. It absolutely flies on my basic 020 Amiga!

The small MagicWB icons are the only choice for PAL/NTSC TVres. Move into high res productivity mode and you can choose much nicer icons like shown above.

I find it disgusting :P The color scheme is disgusting, the icons' "design" is disgusting. Lack of taste.
