Amiga 500 Memory detection - ( BeagleBone Emulating RAM)

I am currently in the process of making an interface for a BeagleBone Black to Amiga500 Zorro slot. The main aim was to get the networking facilities to run, but there is so much more it can do.

One of the things is emulation of RAM connected via Zorro - but I am curious how toe amiga detects it? There is a dedicated memory map with two 4MB Zorro blocks; would it be sufficent for the new hardware just to respond to the address? or would I have to comply with the Autoconfig methods before the RAM will be detected.

I would like in the end emulate the RTC, RAM, IDE Hard Drive and what-not on an A500 - and all inside the BeagleBones realtime processors.

I have only just started - but its looks very do-able

Any hints if RAM needs Autoconfig will be greatly appreciated.

yes, you need autoconfig if you want the memory to be automatically added to the system free memory list.
