New Tosec Update!
A new verion of Tosec - TIM (V0.6.10) and a huge dat update released today! Get it while it's hot!
"After alot of work from all the team, a new release is online. It is pretty important that you install this update before letting TIM look for any online database updates, as the database structure has changed slightly. Basically, the lists of countries, languages, etc have been added into the TIM.db. If you run the online update without this version installed, you will get error messages at the end of the import when it is updating the 'listbox' table. TIM will automatically create the 'listbox' table when you first run the new version, so this is why it's important that you are running the latest version of TIM." source: www.tosec.info |

This is the way for me, I much prefer ClrMAMEPro and am very used to it (since I use it for everything MAME / Neo-Geo / Raine etc. related)... |

TIM 0.6.11 Released. A quick bug fix release...
Still got some issues with the renamer tool and posted a bug report. Waiting for V0.6.12... Anyway, this is just the rommanger tool. The new dats are fine! |

Meh, gave up keeping up with TOSEC years ago
All sets are rar`ed up (cant tell how I hate having 10.000 files flying around) and somewhee on DVDs, so I dont think that will change to soon. Their commitment is outstanding though. |

Romcenter is the simplest and more visually understandable. but clrmame is the one to use if you are in need of rebuilds (copy or move and correct and/or rezip the objects, in this case adfs, in another directory, with the option of move or delete also the remaining uncorrected files)

Hey Methanoid,
Hmmm, haven't used RC in ages and ages. ClrMAMEPro is much better although maybe a little bit harder to use. You can find a good tutorial here: http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/clrmameguide.htm If you get stuck with this I can help you |

I just bought a new HDD so I decided to upgrade to the latest TIM (0.6.12) and re-scan my collection late last night (around midnight).. it was still going strong at only 43% completed at 8am this morning and I've got a huge lot of missing files.

probably you have let it move or delete unneeded files or something like this: the new DATs are pretty good, but if you had many non tosec files they have been maybe considered unneeded. check your backup directory in TIM. |
