Nearly there !!!!
Right i think iv almost sussed this amiga stuff out now .
I now have a working install of wb 3.1 .. i have installed opus 4.16 ..the lha and lzx exe's .. so before i installed whdload i thought i would do some testing with some hd loadable games i have. First i installed Galga aga (sorry but i love this game) and no probs .. next i installed monkey island aga .. and again no probs .. then i installed simcity 2000 .. the first problem i encountered was the res setup screen .. it only gives me the option for high res laced which makes my screen flicker ..and the second is that it's so slow its unplayable .. why could this be ? .. i have nothing taking up memory etc and is there anyway to add just the high res mode ? My system specs are as follows :- A1200 68020 +fpu Ram card with on board fpu and 8 mb ram (can config to either 2/4/8) 1 gig HD |

You really need a beefier machine to play SImCity. It's an arse conversion, dont worry, your Miga is not to blame.

Get an accelerator with an 030 cpu @50Mhz. And some FAST RAM in it.

SimCity 2000 Amiga is rubbish. It's the second worst version of it that I've played.

The best version is the Macintosh version. I think the worst one is the GBA, followed by the Amiga.
The PSX/Saturn versions I have also tried. Not too bad, not too good. Stick to Mac/PC. |
