WinUAE time compression/speed up

Hello everyone! I like to play the Settlers 1 on WinUAE but as anyone familiar with the game will know, it's very slow paced. So I was wondering if there is a way to speed up the emulation? (I'm not talking about performance, it runs very smooth). I'd like to finish the game before I retire. Thank you

You can always use WinUAE's turbo mode (end+pause/break). I'm not sure if the game is still playable then though.

That just mutes the sound. I'm using version 0.8.25. I tried to download the new version but it doesn't work, whenever I mount my harddrive it just says software failure.

Edit: fixed it by not selecting 68060 CPU.

Thank you!!

However, the sound is out of sync and crackly, even at normal speed. Why?

What do you mean? There is no option to enable or disable fps adj...
Note that it is incompatible with vsync.

The sound is crackly and out of sync. When I click a button I don't get the pushing sound until a few seconds later. In my other version of WinUAE I could adjust the time lag for sound to fix the problem.

You talking about sound latency?

Better create your config files from scratch, too many things have changed between 0.8.x and 1.x versions.

I have, but I cannot find the sound latency options in the new version.

On the sound panel try to lower the 'Sound Buffer Size'. This should fix the lag.

Ok I have now fixed the lag

I've tried framerate adjust, but timed the game, and even at 99 it doesn't make a significant increase in speed and just distorts the sound.

However the turbo mode is useful! If silent
