A500 floppy drive power wires
A quick peruse of the interwebs tells me that of the four floppy drive power wires, the last wire should be +12V. My drive only has two power wires though (the first two) so is the +12V not actually used?

If the drive only uses two wires, it's usually a 5V unit.

Ah OK. So connecting all 4 wires to this drive wouldn't do any harm, but connecting this two-wire cable to another drive would not work?

I should have looked again before posting - I have the LAST two wires, not the first two (i.e. I have the right side, wires 3 and 4). So instead of red-black-black-brown like most I see I have nothing-nothing-black-red. Doesn't look like the power cable is actually detachable from the drive though (at least not without opening the drive casing). Quite different to other drives I'm looking at.
