SFS on WB 2.1 - possible?

While the 600 is in bits ready for a peroxide session, I'm practicing my CF setup with a HDF in UAE (CF has not arrived yet).

HDToolbox on my 2.1 install disk has a very slightly different layout from what's described in this (excellent) 3.1 guide:

http://wiki.abime.net/amiga/killergo...winuae_realhdd

Although it has the abilty to add a custom file system which I have done (I'm right at the end of the guide post the partition reboot) I cannot see where to enter the 512 blocksize.

Also, the when I choose to use the custom file system (it doesn't list it at SFS) that I have just added, the DosVersion or Identifier is different from what I'd entered at the adding stage.

As if that wasn't enough, the at the reboot it just hangs at a white screen. Even with a fresh ADF in DF0.

So before I re-trace my steps, should this even be possible on 2.1?

At present I'm not planning on swapping my rom chip or installing a switcher so if I have to just use FFS instead, I will (I did in the 90's and don't remember having any issues!).

(I don't see anything WinUAE specific here)

My guess is that you forgot to press return after changing the dostype.

FYI, Most (all?) version of SFS require 020+ CPU and so don't work with an unaccelerated A600

Maybe I should have put this in Other, sorry. Feel free to move.

Cheers alexh - I won't waste any more tinkering time.
