Joystick help needed
I need some help finding a Joystick for use on my PC with Amiga & C64 emulators.
On the real machines, my fav joystick is my quickshot Maverick, so something similar would be cool. All I have for my PC at the moment is one of the USB competition Pro sticks, but when playing Apidya, I feel as if I'm going to snap it in half !! - not the best stick & a bit stiff too. I do not like gamepads, I like to control with my whole hand not thumbs I was thinking of a PC flight type stick, are these any good for general use, Shumps & platformers, etc ? or too "loose" ? BTW, I don't want to spend too much ! |

If you want a cheap USB joystick for the PC there are a few arcade style ones around. Here's the cheapest I could find: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/usb-fig...-66330?item=24

You can get this adapter - for DB9 to USB joysticks:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/NEW-Dual-Port...item27c6c704a6 Anyways... for PC usage I have Madcatz SF4TE stick - it's the best I also own Maverick 1M (QS-138F model with microswitches) for Amiga and Atari that is also great. Last edited by kixs; 12 September 2012 at 19:42. Reason: Typo |

There is a Quickjoy Topstar in a charity shop in town, they were always good sticks, I'd have bought it without a thought if it had been the Amiga version but it has the PC plug instead so I'd need an adapter.
It is probably still there, I don't imagine it will sell very quickly. |
