Is this a real HD or a CF card, either way could be a max transfer issue, what value did you set the MaxTransfer to when you setup the drive?

Also you don't need to go the slow route making a system.zip and transfer then unzip, etc. Hook up your HDD/CF to the PC and do all the work in UAE if you can its much quicker.
