It's a shame that Commodore's most superior machine, in terms of hardware capability, should come a miserable third compared to a budget toy machine that only happened to be marketed spectacularly well.

The Amiga was sold as a computer. The machines doing the highest sales were sold as toys (C64, Atari 2600, etc).
