a nice speedup can be gained by disabling amidock, it constantly refreshes slowing the system down a fair bit.
dblpal hires noflicker 704x512x6 was a nice mode to use on aga when hooked up to a vga monitor. a slight slowdown, but nothing major and looks nice too (For aga desktop anyhow).
I wouldnt bother messing with crap like magictv and stupidly low res modes, just not worth it. Whatwas point in updating to os39 if ya want it to look like crap. the usual aga fast blitter blitter fixes , no amidock and "loadwb -simplegels" should get the speed nice and usable.
