what does this thing do? make it possible to use a standard hd drive as an actual hd drive in an amiga? (seems strange that the page on bboah doesn't mention anything about its functionality..)
regarding the chip, it's a PAL which is a PLD (programmable logic device), not a microcontroller (like a PIC). Without the code for it, it's not possible to reproduce this board directly..
