I know it's alpha, but here is 2 suggestions anyway:
1) It would be cool if camera can be smoothed somehow when character jumps, not stricly following it with robot precision. Maybe some delay, and slower movement. It will make it much more natural I think.
2) Dying enemy could at least bounce once, before falling to the void. Think about Mario or Giana sisters, when you jump at enemy all they do is bounce once (with different dying sprite image), and fall.
But nevermind above, it's really awesome, and in good Amiga tradition, it look pretty damn hard.
