No, I don't know why the OS 3.1.4 picture.datatype has no PPC support built-in anymore and why the scaling quality is a little lower than with the OS 3.9 version or why the newer IPrefs doesn't scale my Jpeg wallpaper anymore. Maybe that will change again in OS 3.2, but only the developers can answer that.

The JFIFdt44 has probably no PPC support yet, and the PNGdt44 not either.
