English Amiga Board - View Single Post - Green blinking Power Light A1200 with A500 Type 2 PSU

Hi

I recently purchased an A500 PSU (lightweight, type 2 4.5A) to use with my A1200 with ACA 1233/40 accelerator board, as I heard the standard A1200 PSU can struggle with anything other than a stock machine.

It worked well for a few hours then the A1200 shut down, showing a constantly blinking green power light. If I switch the PSU off and on again I get the blinking light and no boot up.

The A1200 still works perfectly with my standard A1200 PSU.

I'm assuming the A500 PSU is faulty but I wouldn't know how to check it, although I do have a multimeter.

Any ideas on what is happening here?
