Hmmm.... well... why don't you take the English version, see where the patch was made, and patch the German exe as well? From what I remember, LockPick 2.0 has a parameter for this and I think it did work for the German release. Not sure however. I think it was a dirty patch which did place code at $300 in lower memory and did patch the exe to jump there. You would not want to do this on a multitasked system, right? But should work for playing from disk.
