I will continue doing what I'm doing as I want to take the project beyond the schematics, not to mention the learning and experience. [Edit] My personal work (not the schematics) will be released under the BSD license.

One issue with the work done. Although excellent they are licenced under Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported (CC BY-NC-ND 3.0), I don't actually think that can be legally done.

Attribution
— You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work).

Noncommercial
— You may not use this work for commercial purposes.

No Derivative Works
— You may not alter, transform, or build upon this work.

Did the web site get legal permission to change the distribution license.

[Edit 09/11/12 by MadAngus] I'm guessing but I think the license is used not to claim any copyright or distribution right, but to indicate that the schematics cannot be used to recreate the mainboard for commercial purposes without the prior consent and licensing from the patent holders.
