Yep looks like its had alot of bad comments...thanks for the info anyway guys..Time to order a better one me thinks :-)

Update: Ok I seem to have got a little further with this adapter. I opened it up to find some of the pins were bent so I straightened them up. Plugged it back in and windows asked me if I wanted to format the device! And when I run WinUAE and go to add hard drives it is displayed with its file size properties. The problem remains I can't get it to show up on the workbench?
