I love the new version. A glitch allowed me to go through a wall I shouldn't have (I was jumping at the time) and fell to the bottom of the level where I was able to walk along the bottom of the level instead of dying! (FYI, I was playing the Turbo version when this happened on my A600 setup in WinUAE)
I know it's still a work-in-progress, so perhaps you could add it to your "to-do" list
