Not sure but I have to say that it seems to sound better. There still is the typical Amiga seperation like you said: 2 channels left 2 channels right but somehow less annoying. I don't know if I am imagining things.
Hopefully bLAZER will update his player to play all the formats DP does. (Hint hint!)
I am 99% sure that DP1.3 does work in Windows 7 btw.
