Not much point because you should ALWAYS unpack all Amiga archives inside Amiga environment. (real or emulated)

This is not true: it has nothing to do with filesystems (except if you use FAT), it is upper layers that don't accept "bad" filenames (this is also part of legacy compatibility, as usual again)
I could bypass this in WinUAE and directly use original filenames (without name mangling) in NTFS partitions but it would surely confuse people when other programs can't access or delete the files
