If i didn't want to use the scsi controller anymore and just wanted to use the ide controller instead,would i have to use a terminator on it or not ?

The reason that i am asking this is because,once i disconnect the scsi cable from the scsi controller and just rely on the ide,the floppy drive doesn't seem to respond unless i plug the scsi devices back in ?
