your A1200 NTSC will boot by default in PAL mode using the hack
the video output via composite video and RF will be NTSC ...(will not change)
the genuine hack is disconnect the pin 41 of the Alice chip...(default connected to ground)
and connect it to +5v using a 4.7k resistor
this hack is on aminet and include a high quality picture and warnings about the possibility of damage to your motherboard
I have this hack made on my A1200...and works perfect
also you can choice to boot PAL/NTSC with a jumper using this diagram:
ground / pin41 / 4.7k +5v
btw, if you are using a high power supply....I recommend the use of a 10k resistor instead
