Note that I didn't said the Amiga IS better but WAS better for me. At this time. 
Plus IIRC The SNES version was also plagued by slowdowns.
It was far inferior to the MegaCD version although released much earlier.
And of course the enhanced version is far better than the original SNES one, there isn't any discussion about that for me. |
Absolutely, I loved the Amiga version back in the day- I knew stuff was absent from the arcade but it was the only means i had to playing Final Fight at home.
The large sprites were impressive and i was in awe that it was running on my A500- but yes the game play was incorrect. Like you say, at 11 or 12 years of age enthusiasm goes a long way.
