English Amiga Board - View Single Post - make your own 23 pin video connector for less than $1

Hi, this is a Very easy mod, here is a picture that should paint 1000 words...

first, remove 2 screws from 25pin connector, metal plate will come off.

- snip the right hand side 2 pins on connector as shown (total of 4 snips).
- rough up the face of the connector the new printed (PLA for me) plate will be attaching to.
- remove part of the right side plastic on the connector so it is the same length as the printed plate (so it doesnt stick out.
- dab superglue on the flat side of the printed plate and place on the connector.
- find a 23 pin connector and connect it to your new 23 pin connector, this will line up the new plate and also will push the plate tighter to where it is connected to

That is basically it. the plastic plate is actually quite strong and i could squeeze it without it beaking. if you dont like it you can always create a new one

I have a few projects that will hopefully be done in the next couple of weeks, will post them in here.
