Oh, I took the gotek out of its shell when I bought it; I retrofitted it inside my tower, so I didn't need the case itself.
Just for sake of safety I placed electric tape all over the bottom connection points, so the bottom should be completely insulated. But the issue seem to be on the top part, where the red LED is soldered (at least from what I can tell)
