How do i add my joypads, because Xinput and Dinput devices aren't detected. Key for Fullscreen?

While i like these remakes it shouldn't be a tinkering mess. Unpacked the .jar with 7zip but i'm clueless. Default controls is set to mouse?

edit: Doesn't work here on Windows 10 21H1, Java 8 installed. Quits without an error when you start the game.
