Your setup appears fine, but ensure PIN 1 on the cable connectors are going to PIN 1 on the Drive/GW! USB cable is a standard 'printer' type USB, square end/flat end! Do you power the drive from GW or an external PSU like I do?
To open a CMD prompt, click 'start' button and type in 'CMD' and click 'open' to run it then navigate to the folder where the GW files are then issue a 'gw info' command as that will tell if it's connected correctly by showing you the version of GW you have! The IPF can be anywhere you like as long as you tell GW the full path to it, but it's easier to put it in the same folder as GW so you can just pass the filename to GW!
If you are using Windows 10 that has a driver already installed, Windows 7/8 need the driver manually installing!!
