I can indeed imagine software exists that will draw things incorrectly. Still, actively developed programs can be updated, others might be patched, and I don't actually remember this causing widespread issues on my 3.9 setup back in the day. It is naturally going to depend on what particular software an individual uses, but the option would be nice to have, even if it can't be quite perfect
