I guess lha and lzx are able to store filesystem quirks, whereas zip cannot. Good to know.

EDIT:

And in case anyone else wants to see the magic of lha and lzx, attached is a screenshot of the contents of lha, lzx and zip files that contain 2 files: "test.txt" which has a comment, and "test2.txt" which does not. Scientific I know
