Amilator wraps FS-UAE (the emulator) up in a self-booting Linux host. Basically it boots up and then starts FS-UAE which takes over the machine. The upshot is that you have a very, very fast Amiga.
I have mine installed to HDD on a core i5 laptop with shedloads of RAM, RTG, 68040 etc etc. Full WHDLoad install, with a complete TOSEC set on the HDD and you're good to go. Floppy management is restricted, but once you have stuff installed it's gravy.
