Tested Symphony of the Night with ePSXe on Xiaomi Mi Max 2 now:
PAL version shows 50/50 fps but doesn't scroll smoothly, NTSC version shows 60/60 fps and is smooth.
Not gonna buy a Mi9 to find out if it supports 50Hz.
Maybe I'll get a used Razer Phone 2 at some point.
