Ah right, I read it like you were giving us options and hoping to do away with the ribbon connector entirely since you sounded really enthusiastic about not needing one.
So if I understand it right those wanting Rev2B/PLCC option will have to buy the A500 specific version and do a bit of modification themselves? (LED desoldering etc?)
