The 060 needs less cooling than the 040, so upgrading your current 1240 is a viable option. Chucky has a source of 060 chips at the moment too so it might be a good time. You're right though, the Blizzard is a more stable and compatible design, at the cost of slightly slower speeds in certain circumstances.
