I don't think WHDLoad emulates 060 instructions (in my opinion this is not the job of WHDLoad anyway), or did I miss something?

WHDLoad can't restore the display settings properly if the BEAMCON0 register has been changed. Any write to BEAMCON0 needs to be disabled/emulated in the slave code.
