It could be that your ram expansion is conflicting with your PCMCIA...

Not a good idea, speakers too close to the floppy drive could cause magnetic flux problems where the disk cant be read and actually corrupted, same if you have a CF card or hard drive inside.

I think it probably came down to timing, game had to be ready for Commodore to get duplicated and put in packs to go on sale and those pictures were simply not finished in time to go into the pack...
