Which ftp client are you using? Is it set to only allow 1 connection to the FTP? Any more than one and it will throw up this error.

You still need to pass the midi through to the software midi which I use in windows in this case VirtualMIDISynth which is what is set to MIDI out in winuae, its the same as if I was using dosbox....

I made a iso using the inbuilt tool and yup on the iso there is a rom.key go figure. Still not encrypted though that rom is still 524288

Check to see how many connections you got in FileZilla. In Site manager -> Transfer Settings, I am sure it should be only 1 any more and the FTP server will throw a wobbly.
