Cplds are complex programmable logic devices - the glue logic that helps the accelerator run. I don’t actually know if the WarpEngine uses cplds but it’s kind of a catch-all term for different logic...

Quake needs fast memory speed, that’s why it is not that fast on an Apollo even with high MHz 060. It would be very interesting to see it run on a high clocked Warp1260!

I have a 105mhz Falcon without voltage modification. I guess this is probably just luck.

One of my WarpEngine’s works fine at 96mhz without modification.

yeah, but if the TF1260 scales it's memory like the 62 and 75 mhz bustest results show, all the way to 100mhz, then it'll be very similar in speed

And faster than a Blizzard 1260 @ 80mhz by quite a margin for write long word :O

I ran bustest on the range 68000000-6fffffff and it seemed to work - showed that speed was 6.6MB/s for read and write
